Best known as the frontman for the Canadian alt-rock band Moist, singer/songwriter David Usher was innate was born in Oxford, England on April 24, 1966; raised in Kingston, Ontario, he by and by studied political scientific discipline at Vancouver's Simon Fraser University, where in 1992 he formed Moist with guitarist Mark Makowy and keyboardist Kevin Young. After cathartic two LPs with the chemical group, 1994's Flatware and 1996's Creature, Usher took time out in 1998 to tone ending his solo debut, Petty Songs.

Lily Allen - Allen Is Glad To Be Back In Us

British singer LILY ALLEN is thrilled to be allowed back into America - after she was banned from the country by immigration officials last year (07).

The Smile hitmaker posted a blog on her MySpace page on Sunday (08Jun08) telling her U.S. fans that she is happy to "be back".

Allen was forced to scrap dates in America last year after her work visa was confiscated following an alleged attack on a paparazzo in London.

The 23-year-old writes: "So, they let me in. Hello America, it's nice to be back.

"Immigration was funny; they only kept me for an hour or so."

Allen is in the country to continue recording songs for her as-yet-untitled second album, according to GigWise.com. The record is due out later this year (08).

Bad Boys Blue is a transnational dance-pop group formed in Cologne, Germany, in 1984 and originally featuring British lead singer John McInerney, American Andrew Thomas, and Jamaican-born Trevor Taylor. After Taylor left the group in 1988, he was replaced by Trevor Travis; upon grading a number 89 chart hit in 1993 with "Preserve Your Love," Travis exited as well, and Bad Boys Blue continued as a duo until adding Mo Russel in 1995. His 1999 going made way for Jo Jo Max.

Rolling Stones guitarist demands dwarves

Ronnie Wood is hiring dwarves to perform at his daughter's wedding.

The Rolling Stones guitarist wants a gang of cheeky diminutive people to play tricks on unsuspecting guests at 29-year-old daughter Leah's wedding on June 21.

Wedding planners are looking for male and female dwarves, under four feet high, to dress as "mischievous, giggling little imps".

A source is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "The idea is to have little people in costume popping up. They're working on a theme based on the character of Puck - the cheeky sprite from Shakespeare's 'Midsummer Night's Dream'."

Some of the stunts may involve the performers stealing hats and leaping out of bushes. Any dwarves appearing will have to sign confidentiality agreements to stop them giving away star guests' secrets.

Singer-and-model Leah will marry Jack McDonald, a TV news producer, at Ronnie's stately residence in Surrey. Jack proposed during a family holiday to Kenya last year.

The Rolling Stones will play at the wedding, which will have a star-studded guest list, including supermodel Kate Moss and Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger's daughter Lizzie.

Speaking of his dwarf plans, Ronnie coyly said: "It's one of the ideas that's been discussed. We want to keep a few surprises back for the guests."

Kid Rock [ tickets ] and Lynyrd Skynyrd [ tickets ] will merge their road parties for the first time on this summer's "Rock and Rebels" tour.The nine-show outing is set to kick off Aug. 8 in Oklahoma City, OK, and roll though the South and eastern US through the end of the month, with a stop in Toronto. Rock will wrap the current US leg later this month and then head out for a brief European jaunt before returning to North America in early July for a Canadian run and a three-night stand in the Detroit area.
